Today, we dedicate ourselves to experiencing the awe-inspiring Perito Moreno Glacier, a true World Natural Wonder. This massive ice field glacier descends from the Patagonian Ice Cap, the third largest ice sheet on Earth, spanning an immense 22,000 square kilometers, second only to Antarctica and Greenland.
Remarkably, due to unique local conditions, the Perito Moreno Glacier is the only glacier in the world that exhibits a continuous cycle of advance and retreat, culminating in spectacular ice collapses.
The road brings us to the very edge of the glacier, offering breathtaking views and the opportunity to hear the thunderous roar of ice calving into the lake. Witness the frequent collapses of the glacier's front face into the turquoise waters – an unforgettable and truly unique spectacle.
Later, we'll journey to Bajo de las Sombras, where we'll embark on a scenic catamaran cruise on Lago Rico. From the water, admire the glacier's majestic ice wall and the mesmerizing beauty of its icebergs.
